Scholastic Book Fair is Coming November 20-23!
Come support Hatzic Middle School’s 4th Annual Scholastic Book Fair! The Book Fair will open on Monday November 20 and close Thursday, November 23. Students, parents and staff can purchase books in the morning, at lunch time and after school. The book fair will be open during Parent Teacher Interviews on Thursday, November 23 from 3:00 – 9:00 pm. There will be lots of amazing new titles to purchase and all funds go right back to the Library. Last year the Library was able to purchase $1200 worth of brand new books, so this is a fabulous fund raiser for school libraries. Make sure you come visit and start your Christmas shopping early!

30 Book Challenge
Hatzic Middle School’s First Ever Book Challenge!
September 11, 2017 – June 15, 2018
Do love to read? Do you find yourself reading the same genre all the time? If you answered yes, to either of these questions, then you need to participate in the 30 Book Challenge. This challenge will encourage you to read other genres and will introduce you to some amazing authors. Your task will be to read 30 books from September to June. If you set a goal to read 3 books per month you will complete the challenge.
If you would like to participate in Hatzic Middle School’s first ever reading challenge, please come to the Library and pick up a yellow 30 Book Challenge Card. Once you have finished a book , you are invited to join our blog posts to tell all of the participants what you have read and most importantly, what you loved about the book you just finished. All blog posts are reviewed my Ms. Johnston before they are posted, so please be respectful with your comments and your replies. Let’s get reading!
